CPD with local artist Tonia Rees
On the 10th February 2010, Art teachers from the East Collaborative took part in Continual Professional Development which was lead by local contemporary artist Tonia Rees. The CPD was linked to Maths and Art tecahers developed patterns and floral shapes in prepartion for the Collaborative Arts Event at the EDC on the 4th and 5th March.
CAPP - Contemporay Art Practice Project CPD
In November 2008, The East Collaborative Visual Arts Network worked in partnership with CAPP (Contemporary Art Practice Project) in conjunction with Birmingham City University and the New Art Gallery Walsall. St Francis of Assisi was host to 3 twilight CPD sessions for art teachers to develop skills and raise their awareness to contemporary art. Teachers took part in disscussions and practical workshops with guidance from artist Matt Robinson. Teachers based their work in response to the private viewing of the Vidya Gastaldon exhibition held at The New Art Gallery Walsall.
